DUST MITES
Mattresses are home to millions of dust mites that feed on the dead skin particles we shed every night. They excrete an allergen called ‘Guanine’ which becomes airborne as we move around on the mattress at night, and then we breathe it in. Mattress protectors and covers won’t prevent this as the particles are so small they pass through them. WHAT IS OUR SPECIAL SYSTEM?
Called the Ultraviolet Germicidal Sanitizing System, we have imported a medical/industrial strength UV-C sanitizing device from the USA.
UV-C disinfection has primarily been used in medical sanitation and sterile work facilities. In hospitals it has proven effective even against the ‘superbugs’ like MRSA.
The process is safe, non-toxic, chemical free and doesn’t harm your mattress fabric. Studies suggest that having a clean mattress can dramatically improve the quality of your sleep and improve your overall health.
The UV-C light kills or inactivates harmful microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA. The UV device emits 254-wavelength light. This is the optimal wavelength for killing harmful microbes.

Mattress Cleaning, Stain Removal and Additional Treatments:
If the mattress is stained it needs to be cleaned using steam extraction combined with a variety of non-toxic stain reduction and removal techniques and treatments. We have many years experience in fabric stain removal and upon inspection we can advise you of the best method and the likely result.
We also provide odour treatments and antibacterial products which are applied to the mattress.
Quotes for mattress cleaning are given on an individual basis after inspection as cleaning and treatments may be quick or take a long time depending on the situation.
